Collecting money from tenants for electricity usage can be complicated for landlords, property owners, body corporate and managing agents. Tenants regularly avoid paying their electricity bill and in some cases refuse to do so when they feel that they did not consume the amount they are being billed for. When these dispute arise, collection of arrears is normally a major problem for landlords and on top of that It is against the law to disconnect there electricity supply, so tenants continue to enjoy the benefits of electricity and build up arrears.
